don’t stop me now
April 29th, 2008, Posted in eng, uw photo, diving, stuffJep, that’s how i’ve been feeling for the past two months. Moving from Hurghada to Sharm el Sheikh has been a real boost. I remember going to vacation from Hurghada at the end of January and being totally squeezed and emotionless towards everything. But now - now it’s different. I feel power, I like people I’m working with, I wan’t to dive, teach diving, show people this wonderful innerspace, what we have right here on our doorstep.
Yesterday a satellite fish, probably from a manta or shark or eagle ray was a little bit lost. She found me to be a suitable pelagic and tried to attach herself on my fins, stomach and tank for 10 minutes. Then the bastardo tried to attach herself on Karit without any success. Suddenly she made some really fast moves and disappeared. And tadaaaa, this really gorgeous eagle ray with some nice spots and long tail shows up from the blue, the same satellite attached on her stomach. She moved around us, making some nice vaults like a gymnastic athlete on bars and moving her wings really slow.
Gorgeous animal, really gorgeous :)

The Tentacled flathead (Papilloculiceps longiceps) or Crocodilefish is a member of the order Scorpaeniformes, an order which also includes the scorpionfishes and stonefishes. It is found in the Western Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
They are predatory bottom-dwelling fish, using their camouflage to ambush their prey.
Crocodilefish are mottled brown or green and grey, coloured ideally to be camouflaged with their habitat. They have eye lappets, which help to break up the outline of the iris and improve camouflage, and can reach a length of 70cm.
Crocodilefish dwell in areas where the sea floor is soft or sandy and their camouflage is most effective, usually associated with reefs or rubble.
Crocodilefish are carnivorous, and will eat a most fish small enough to fit in their mouth.
Kalast on teine pilt ka veel nagis. Ise vaatad, kumb rohkem meeldib.
